Achtung! Construction!

I have come to develop a love/hate relationship with the construction workers who are finishing up College IV. You have to give them credit, they sure get things done and don't mess around about it. Just in the week that we've been here, the building has been finished at an astonishing rate. This of course comes with a little negative side effect, such as drill brigade early in the morning, or waking up to a nice hammer symphony, and sometimes both like this morning.
They also try to win us over with bribes by leaving presents outside our doors. So far I've gotten a nice new trash bin, and then yesterday I received a shelf for my desk!
The construction workers have also fixed all the problems in my room as well, including coat hangers attached to the wall which were previously absent (and made me wonder why there was a random slab of wood attached to my wall with nothing on it), and they fixed the doorstop in my bathroom which would have stopped the door from hitting the heater...if the door didn't slam into a shelf and never reach the doorstop.
Sam (British lady in charge of College IV) has a good attitude about all the final construction nuances that keep popping up, which is definitely good, and can also be amusing at times. On the topic of floor sealing early in the morning: "NOTE THAT THE SEALING MACHINE MAKES SME NOISE. So don't look for an alien invading your college, it's just the sealing machine. It's a humming sound which shall remind you that there are 3 more hours to sleep, so please do not leave your room before 7:45"
